The Secretariat Award is an annual recognition for outstanding contributions to the Academy and ophthalmology, chosen by Academy Senior Secretaries and Secretaries in their respective areas. It was created to honor ophthalmologists for their exceptional contributions beyond the existing Achievement Awards Program and can also be awarded for multiple years of service.
