Your Visit & Office Policies

Parking

Paid parking is available in the building through the Century Park East entrance. Given the high volume of patients in the building and rehabilitation hospital, there may be excessive traffic entering the parking structure which may lead to delays in your schedule. If possible, please consider a ride-sharing service or being dropped off (there is a 15-minute grace period for entrance and exit before payment is required).

Late Arrivals

If you are later than 30 minutes from your appointment time, we cannot guarantee to see you the same day and may have to reschedule your appointment. If there are unforeseen circumstances that may lead to you being late to your appointment, please call our office and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Guests

Given the limited seating in our office, we are asking patients to limit the number of guests they bring to their appointment to 1 additional person. If the patient requires a caregiver, they may accompany the patient for the visit.

Wait Time in Office

We try our best to respect your time in the office and are constantly working to optimize your experience with us. We ask that you allow ample time for your visit with us. If your visit includes a dilation or additional testing, we ask that you set at least 2-3 hours for your appointment. If during your visit, you are limited on time, please let us know and we would be happy to reschedule your appointment to a future time to allow for the completion of your visit. We thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you are preventing another patient from a valuable appointment slot. Advanced Vision Care reserves the right to charge up to $75 for cancellations done less than 48 hours prior to your appointment date. Any cancellations within 48 hours with reasonable cause will be reviewed by AVC on a case-by-case basis and may require additional documentation.

Photo ID and Insurance Cards

Please bring a physical copy of your photo ID and insurance cards for your visit. If there are specific billing requests, please let our Welcome Team know at the time of your appointment check-in.

Refraction

Refractions are the work that is done to check your current prescription for glasses. Your appointment may necessitate a refraction for diagnostic purposes or to allow us to dispense you an updated glasses prescription. This is a non-covered service and will be a charge of $75 that will cover you for that visit and visits within a year that require a refraction.
