Dr. Nicole Fram was a featured interview subject in a recent article from the American Academy of Ophthalmology about the use of sutureless methods for lens implantation. The two methods are Glue (more complex than it sounds!) and the Yamane technique. Dr Fram says both are,“…wonderful techniques, because you can stay [with the] small incision, and this can potentially lead to faster visual recovery and possibly better refractive outcomes”.
But with that said Dr. Fram goes into some Pros and Cons of both and some caveta for their prospective use.
